SEB NMMS EXAM NOTIFICATION 2021 : State Examination Board has published an advertisement for the NMMS (National Means Cum Merit Scholarship) Exam. This Schemes launch by Department of School Education & Literacy under the Ministry of Human Resource Development with the objective to financially support the meritorious students of economically weaker sections of the society.

MHRD, NEW DILHI has implemented a scheme called National Means Cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) for students studying in Std. 8 with the objective of reducing the drop out rate in secondary and higher secondary schools. Has been placed. By State Examination Board, Gandhinagar. An examination will be held on Sunday 28/02/2021 to select the beneficiary students for this scholarship.

Education Qualification

  • Students who are studying in Government Primary Schools, Local Body Schools (District Panchayat / Municipal / Nagarpalika Schools) and Granted Primary Schools in Std. 8 in the current academic year can appear for the NMMS examination.
  • General Category and OBC Category students should have obtained at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in Std-7. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe student should have obtained at least 50% marks in Std-7.
  • Students of private schools (private schools / self finance schools), Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas and schools run by state government institutions which provide accommodation, meals and study facilities will not be able to fill up the application form in this examination.

Income limit

  • Only students whose parents’ annual income does not exceed Rs. 1,50,000 can appear for this examination.
  • The student must attach a certified copy of the annual income sample with the NMMS application form. (Authorized by Government)

Examination Fees

  • GENERAL / OBC : 70 Rs.
  • PH / SC / ST : 50 Rs.
  • Service charge will have to be paid separately
  • Fees paid will not be refunded under any circumstances

NMMS Scholarship Payment Rules

  • After the examination, the students who come in merit in the district-wise quota will be given a monthly stipend of Rs. 1000 per annum. Scholarships will be available to eligible students for four years as per 12000.
  • Scholarships will be paid by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD), Government of India, New Delhi to eligible students as per the guidelines of MHRD.
  • Scholarships will be disbursed by MHRD directly to the beneficiary’s bank account through the National Scholarship Portal.

NMMS Exam Structure

  • The medium of examination will be in English as well as Gujarati. The examination will have to be given in the medium which the student chooses.
  • This test will be Multiple Choice Question – MCQ Based.
  • Each question will have one mark
  • There will be no negative assessment in the assessment of this test.
  • Blind students will be given an extra 30 minutes.

Examination syllabus of NMMS

  • The 90 questions of the MAT Intellectual Aptitude Test will be verbal and non-verbal logical calculations. These questions will include Analog, Classification, Numerical Series, Pattern Perception, Hidden Figure etc.
  • The SAT Educational Aptitude Test will consist of 90 questions in Std-7 and Std-8 Mathematics, Science and Social Science subjects.
    • The syllabus of the previous academic year will be for Std-7.
    • For Std-8, there will be a syllabus of the first semester of the current academic year.
