UPSC CSE 2025 Final Result Declared

UPSC CSE 2025 Final Result: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025. The UPSC CSE 2025 Final Result is based on the performance of candidates in the written examination held in August 2025 and the Personality Test (Interview) conducted between December 2025 and February 2026. According to the press note issued by the Government of India, a total of 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment to various prestigious civil services of the country.

Top Rankers in Civil Services Examination 2025

In the final merit list, Anuj Agnihotri secured the All India Rank (AIR) 1, emerging as the topper of the Civil Services Examination 2025. The second rank was secured by Rajeshwari Suve M, while Akansh Dhull achieved the third rank. The merit list contains the names and roll numbers of all recommended candidates arranged in order of rank.

Category-wise Selection

Out of the 958 recommended candidates, the category-wise distribution is as follows:

  • General Category: 317 candidates
  • Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 104 candidates
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC): 306 candidates
  • Scheduled Castes (SC): 158 candidates
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST): 73 candidates

These numbers also include candidates selected under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) categories.

Vacancies in Civil Services

The Government of India had reported a total of 1,087 vacancies across various civil services. The vacancies are distributed among major services as follows:

  • Indian Administrative Service (IAS): 180 posts
  • Indian Foreign Service (IFS): 55 posts
  • Indian Police Service (IPS): 150 posts
  • Central Services Group ‘A’: 507 posts
  • Group ‘B’ Services: 195 posts

The total vacancies also include 42 posts reserved for PwBD candidates.

Reserve List Maintained by UPSC

In addition to the main merit list, UPSC has prepared a consolidated reserve list of 258 candidates. This reserve list includes candidates from various categories such as General, EWS, OBC, SC, ST and PwBD. These candidates may be recommended later depending on availability of vacancies or other administrative requirements.

Other Important Details

The Commission stated that the candidature of 348 recommended candidates has been kept provisional, subject to verification of their eligibility and category claims by the concerned authorities. Furthermore, the result of two candidates has been withheld for administrative reasons.

UPSC has also informed that candidates can obtain clarification regarding the examination through its Facilitation Counter on working days between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The marks of candidates will be made available on the official UPSC website within 15 days from the declaration of the final result.
