Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed at least one relevant trade/course from a Government-recognized ITI. The notification includes relevant trades such as Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Mechanic Diesel, General Mechanic, Fitter, Turner, Electrician, Sheet Metal Worker, Automobile Body Repairer, Welder, Welder-cum-Fabricator, Machinist, Carpenter, Painter General, Automobile Paint Repairer. The notification requires candidates to possess the prescribed minimum ITI qualification.
Apprenticeship Qualification
For additional priority/weightage, candidates should have completed apprenticeship in the same trade as their ITI qualification and possess the relevant NCVT certificate and marksheet.
For example, an ITI Electrician candidate must have completed apprenticeship in the Electrician trade to qualify for the additional apprenticeship weightage. An apprenticeship in a different trade does not qualify for this additional benefit.
Age Limit
The basic age requirement for the Helper post is 18 to 35 years. Age Relaxation as per government rules.
GSRTC Helper Salary 2026
Selected candidates will be appointed in the Helper cadre on a fixed-pay basis of ₹21,100 per month for five years.
After successfully completing five years of service satisfactorily, candidates may become eligible for regular appointment in the Helper cadre at the applicable regular basic pay, subject to the prevailing rules and conditions

The written examination will consist of 100 MCQ questions/marks and the prescribed examination duration is 2 hours.

GSRTC Helper Application Fee 2026
The notification specifies the following online combined examination process fee :
- Unreserved / General Category: ₹300 + applicable GST
- Reserved Categories: ₹200 + applicable GST
