Gujarat Vacancy
For Gujarat, the notification lists Regular Vacancies: 330, Backlog Vacancies: 305 Local Language: Gujarati.

SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2026
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
Candidates appearing in the final year/semester of graduation may also apply provisionally, provided they produce proof of passing their graduation examination on or before 31 December 2026, if provisionally selected.
Age Limit
Candidates must be at least 20 years old and not more than 28 years old as on 1 April 2026. Candidates should have been born between 2 April 1998 and 1 April 2006, both dates inclusive. Age Relaxation as per rules.
SBI Clerk Salary 2026 / SBI Clerk Pay Scale 2026
The pay scale for Junior Associates is : ₹24,050 – 1,340/3 – 28,070 – 1,650/3 – 33,020 – 2,000/4 – 41,020 – 2,340/7 – 57,400 – 4,400/1 – 61,800 – 2,680/1 – ₹64,480. The starting Basic Pay is ₹26,730, including two advance increments admissible to graduates.
The notification states that the total starting emoluments at a metro location such as Mumbai are around ₹46,000 per month, including applicable DA and other allowances.

SBI Clerk Probation Period
Selected Junior Associates will initially remain on probation for a minimum period of six months. During probation, employees must complete the e-lessons prescribed by SBI for confirmation. The probation period may be extended depending on completion of the required learning and performance.
SBI Clerk Selection Process 2026
The selection process consists of Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, Local Language Proficiency Test wherever applicable.
The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination are not added to the final merit list. Final merit is prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained in the Main Examination, subject to other applicable conditions.

Local Language Test
Candidates applying for a State/UT must know the specified local language. Candidates who have studied the specified local language in Class 10 or Class 12 and can produce the relevant mark sheet/certificate will not have to appear for the language test. Other provisionally selected candidates will have to qualify the Local Language Proficiency Test before joining SBI. Candidates who fail the language test will not be offered appointment.
